YAKIMA – Moses Lake’s historic football season was rewarded in the CBBN all-conference voting.

Senior quarterback Brady Jay, who is one touchdown pass shy of the state record, captured the conference MVP and the Offensive MVP. Sophomore linebacker John Rainey was voted the Defensive MVP.

And Brett Jay was voted the Coach of the Year.

The seventh-seeded Mavericks won a school-best 11th game Saturday with a 17-14 victory against No. 10 Bothell in the first-round of the Class 4A state playoffs at Lions Field.

Moses Lake travels to Lake Stevens on Saturday to face the second-seeded Vikings in the quarterfinals.
