Runner-up in Class 2A a year ago, the Ellensburg volleyball team debuted as No. 4 in the first poll of the season from the Washington State Volleyball Coaches Association.

The Bulldogs are joined by CWAC rival Selah (seventh) in the 2A top 10, while Lynden is No. 1.

Wenatchee, the 2023 champions and third-place finisher last fall, is fourth in the 4A rankings, and upstart Davis is No. 7.

Both teams are scheduled to play in the SunDome Volleyball Festival on Saturday when the bigger schools play. The smaller classifications play Friday.

The Panthers and Pirates played for the Festival championship a year ago, with Davis winning.

Cashmere is fourth in the 1A poll, and is the lone SCAC team to crack the top 10.
