It’s a who’s who of Washington volleyball this weekend at the SunDome Festival.
Many state-tournament regulars and even a couple champions are slated to play on the same surfaces that will be used in two months when the WIAA hosts its championship events.
Class 3A champion Ridgeline is a part Saturday’s big-school action, that also includes 4A third- and fourth-place finishers Wenatchee and Lake Stevens.
The Panthers, who won the event two years ago and later the state title, were runners-up at the Festival last year to Davis, which also is scheduled to play Saturday.
Lynden, top-ranked in 2A, and fellow Northwest Conference also are part of the 32-team field.
Davis, Eastmont, Eisenhower, Wenatchee and West Valley will represent the CBBN, while the CWAC’s East Valley, Ellensburg, Prosser, Selah and Toppenish will play Saturday.
Two-time 2B and small-school Festival champion Manson tops Friday’s tournament, which also is 32 teams.
The SCAC’s Wapato and Zillah will play Friday.
Davis will host a 16-team JV tournament Saturday.
