East Valley football coach Eric Berg was selected the Week 3 Seattle Seahawks and Washington State Football Coaches Association Coach of the Week after he guided the Red Devils to a 13-17 victory against Prosser last Friday at Earl Barden Field.

East Valley is 3-0 and ranked sixth in the VarsityWA state poll ahead of its trip to Ephrata on Friday night in another key CWAC matchup.

Berg is in his 10th year as head coach of the Red Devils, and led them last season to their first playoff berth since 2006.

Two coaches are selected each week and receive $500 donation to the school's football program, and will be guests at the Seahawks’ home finale Thursday, Dec. 18.

One coach will be named Coach of the Year, and will receive $2,000 toward the program.
