EPHRATA – Sixth-ranked East Valley couldn’t be slowed Saturday – even if the Red Devils had to wait a day.

Braden Albrecht rushed for three touchdowns and Jaxon Berg tossed scoring passes to four different receivers and East Valley defeated Ephrata 49-14 in a game postponed from Friday because of smoky air.

The victory sets up a CWAC showdown between East Valley and Othello, the last two unbeatens in the conference, on Friday.

Each team is 3-0 in league and 4-0 overall.

NACHES VALLEY 28, KIONA-BENTON 24: At Benton City, winless a year ago, the Rangers have won three of their first four games this season. Preston Scrogham returned a kickoff for a touchdown, and Naches Valley racked up more than 300 yards on the ground.

The Rangers (2-1 SCAC, 3-1 overall) host Connell on Friday while Kiona-Benton (0-4, 0-4) entertains Zillah.

WENATCHEE 3, EISENHOWER 2: At Yakima, the Panthers (4-0 CBNN, 6-0-1 overall) held off the Cadets to remain unbeaten for the season and atop the conference standings.

WEST VALLEY 5, EASTMONT 2: At Yakima, the Rams (2-2, 4-2) netted a season-high in goals to hand the Wildcats (3-1, 4-2) their first conference loss of the season.

DAVIS 3, SUNNSYSIDE 1: At Yakima, the Pirates (1-4, 2-7) earned their first conference victory of the season by topping the Grizzlies (0-4, 2-4-1).

SELAH 3, PROSSER 0: At Prosser, Elayna Blodgett, Sophie Blodgett and Maddie Phinney netted goals for the Vikings (2-0 CWAC, 4-3 overall), who kept pace with East Valley and Ephrata atop the conference standings. The loss dropped the Mustangs to 1-1, 3-3-1.

ELLENSBURG 3, QUINCY 0: At Ellensburg, Makena Shaw scored twice and Brea Potucek added another goal and the Bulldogs (1-1, 4-4) evened their conference record. The Jackrabbits fell to 1-1, 6-2-1.

EPHRATA 2, OTHELLO 1: Lila Rainey and Paige Murray had goals for the Tigers (2-0, 3-2-2) suit atop the conference, tied with East Valley and Selah. Brooklyn Hillman scored for the Huskies (0-2, 2-5-1).
