WENATCHEE – Wenatchee took a break from CBBN play to sweep Mead in a matchup of 2023 state champions and Panthers.

Third-ranked Wenatchee, which is four matches away from sweeping through conference play unbeaten for the third straight year, won the 4A title two falls ago while Mead claimed the 3A in the Yakima Valley SunDome.

Elsewhere in a mostly nonleague Saturday of volleyball:

CASHMERE 3, EASTMONT 0: At Cashmere, the third-ranked Bulldogs, who are two matches from sweeping through the SCAC unbeaten for the second straight season, topped their Chelan County neighbor.

RIDGELINE 3, DAVIS 2: At Yakima, the sixth-ranked Falcons – the defending 3A champions – slipped past the Pirates, who are in second place in the CBNN.

EAST VALLEY 3, SUNNYSIDE 1: At Sunnyside, the Red Devils outlasted the Grizzlies 26-24, 18-25, 25-19, 25-18.

PROSSER 3, GRANDVIEW 0: At Prosser, in the completion of a match suspended Thursday, the Mustangs won 25-15, 25-18, 25-20.

MOSES LAKE 3, WEST VALLEY 1: At Moses Lake, the Mavericks (6-3) topped the Rams (4-4), who were coming off a victory against first-place Wenatchee, to remain tied for second with Eisenhower.

EASTMONT 4, SUNNYSIDE 0: At Eastmont, the Wildcats (5-3) won at home against the Grizzlies (1-8) to remain half a game behind second place.

EISENHOWER 8, DAVIS 0: At Davis, the Cadets (6-3) rolled past the Pirates (1-8), and are tied for second place with Moses Lake.

SELAH 2, ELLENSBURG 0: At Selah, Elayna Blodgett scored twice to lift the Vikings (5-2) to the victory against the Bulldogs (4-3). Selah took sole control of second place.

EPHRATA 3, PROSSER 0: At Ephrata, Paige Murray, Skarlett Sanchez and Bella Wood netted goals for the Tigers (3-4), who moved into a tie with the Mustangs (4-3) for fifth place in the conference.

OTHELLO 1, PASCO 0: At Pasco, Abcde Garza scored the match’s lone goal to give the Huskies the nonleague victory.
