There weren’t too many shakeups in the standings last week, but there was plenty of positioning.

Moses Lake, East Valley and Royal can win at least a share of the regular-season titles in their respective conferences, and own all tiebreakers.

An 11-1 record gives Stat Hound a 58-4 record.

Here we go with Week 8 …

Sunnyside at Wenatchee

7 p.m. Friday

Foretelling tale: This game will likely decide the CBBN’s third and fourth berths to the Week 10 state-qualifiers. Both teams come in having beaten West Valley and Davis in back-to-back weeks.

Stat Hound says: Sunnyside 30, Wenatchee 20.

Davis at Eisenhower

7 p.m. Friday

Foretelling tale: Davis have been able to move the ball and has been competitive, while the Cadets are still looking to get untracked.

Stat Hound says: Davis 34, Eisenhower 13.

West Valley at Moses Lake

7 p.m. Friday

Foretelling tale: The Mavericks proved they can run the ball when the defense focuses on slowing quarterback Brady Jay. Can another opponent keep Jay in check?

Stat Hound says: Moses Lake 47, West Valley 20.

CWAC
East Valley at Quincy

7 p.m. Friday

Foretelling tale: The undefeated Red Devils haven’t lost their focus this year with sights set on the CWAC championship. Doubtful they’ll lose it being this close.

Stat Hound says: East Valley 41, Quincy 12.

Prosser at Ellensburg

7 p.m. Friday

Foretelling tale: The Mustangs look to bounce back after back-to-back losses and right the ship before heading to Selah for a key CWAC matchup next week.

Stat Hound says: Prosser 35, Ellensburg 14.

Ephrata at Selah

7 p.m. Friday

Foretelling tale: Another key game in the battle for a spot in the Week 10 state-qualifiers. Ephrata’s three losses have come on the road, while Selah is perfect at home. Will that change?

Stat Hound says: Ephrata 27, Selah 23.

Othello at Toppenish

7 p.m. Friday

Foretelling tale: The Huskies have a grip on the second berth to the Week 10 state-qualifiers after winning at Prosser. The Wildcats are trying to stay in the hunt for one of those berths after three straight losses.

Stat Hound says: Othello 39, Toppenish 12.

SCAC
Kiona-Benton at College Place

7 p.m. Friday

Foretelling tale: One of the teams will notch its first win of the season. Both have played close games, but the Hawks have a couple more …

Stat Hound says: College Place 26, Kiona-Benton 20.

Royal at Naches Valley

7 p.m. Friday

Foretelling tale: The Rangers rebound has been a nice story this season. Taking down the five-time champs could be asking too much.

Stat Hound says: Royal 55, Naches Valley 14.

Zillah at Wahluke

7 p.m. Friday

Foretelling tale: The Leopards had their biggest output of the season last week against Ellensburg, and look to keep their momentum going.

Stat Hound says: Zillah 37, Wahluke 12.

Connell at Wapato

7 p.m. Friday

Foretelling tale: The Eagles had won three straight before travelling to Cashmere last. The Wolves have won two of their last three.

Stat Hound says: Connell 44, Wapato 18.

Nonleague
Eastmont at Enumclaw

1 p.m. Saturday

Foretelling tale: The Hornets are unbeaten and have played just one game within two scores. The Wildcats, though, have proven they can make opponents play at their pace.

Stat Hound says: Eastmont 20, Enumclaw 17.

Tri-Cities Prep at Grandview

7 p.m. Friday

Foretelling tale: The Jaguars are Class 2B, but they’re a heckuva 2B team. The Greyhounds rode the ground game to their first victory last week.

Stat Hound says: Tri-Cities Prep 29, Grandview 16.

Cashmere at Chelan

7 p.m. Friday

Foretelling tale: The Bulldogs meet their former Caribou Trail League rival in the Battle for the Bronze Shoe. The Goats have lost four of five.
