State-qualifiers got rolling Friday with five teams from the Stat Hound footprint.

Royal, the five-time defending Class 1A state champion and top seed, fire up its title pursuit by cruising past King's Way Christian 69-0. 

With just 12 teams in the 1A bracket, the Knights almost certainly will have a bye into the quarterfinals.

Prosser, 15th-seeded in 2A, also nabbed a state berth by rolling past North Mason 42-14. 

CBBN teams didn't fare so well, dropping three games to some of 4A's top seeds.

Moses Lake will try to carry the Big Nine flag today, when the seventh-seeded Mavericks host Issaquah at 1 p.m.

Nine other area teams will try for state berths today.
