The conference champs are staying home.
Moses Lake, East Valley and Royal all were seeded to host state football playoffs games in the brackets that were released at 1 p.m. Sunday by the WIAA.
CBBN champion Moses Lake also will host a first-round game as the No. 7 seed in Class 4A.
The Mavericks (10-0) beat Issaquah 49-35 on Saturday to advance. Brady Jay tossed five touchdown passes to give him 64 this season.
The Kingco’s Bothell is the 10th seed and will visit Moses Lake.
The Red Devils are the No. 3 seed in the 2A state bracket. Burlington-Edison (6-4) from the Northwest Conference is the No. 14 seed and presumably will visit Earl Barden Sr. Field on Friday or Saturday.
Dates, times and locations have yet to be announced.
East Valley is 10-0 after Saturday afternoon’s 56-0 victory against Rogers of Spokane. Senior quarterback threw for the 260 yards and four touchdowns, and the defense posted its third straight shutout.
In 1A, calls for the possibility an all-SCAC championship game were answered. Five-time defending state champion Royal (10-0) is the No. 1 seed after shutting out King’s Way Christian 69-0 on Friday while Cashmere (9-1) is seeded second after thumping Kalama on Saturday.
The Knights beat the Bulldogs 21-15 in overtime Oct. 3 at David Nielsen Memorial Field.
Both teams will receive a bye into the quarterfinals of the 12-team bracket.
Also in the 2A, the Red Devils’ CWAC rivals Othello and Prosser were seeded No. 8 and 13, respectively. The Huskies would be in line to host against No. 9 Sehome while the Mustangs would travel to play Orting.
Some predictions had Prosser the 16th seed and meeting top-ranked Archbishop Murphy (9-0), which has given up more than one score in a game just once and has scored at least 40 points in every game and 50 or more in all but two games.
Olympic drew the ATM card as the 16th seed.
