The four area quarterfinalists knew who they'd be playing in the next round of the state football playoffs.
Now they know where and when.
CBBN champion Moses Lake, 11-0 and seeded seventh in Class 4A, will head west to face No. 2 Lake Stevens on the Vikings' home field at 4 p.m. Saturday.
CWAC champ East Valley, No. 3 in 2A and 11-0 for the first time since 2004, will host sixth-seeded Lynden at Clasen Field at West Valley High School at 3 p.m. Saturday.
East Valley athletic director Zach Janis said District 5 had approved Earl Barden Sr. Field, a natural-grass surface, for a first-round game. The school looked for a nearby stadium, and was able to get an agreement to play at Clasen Field, which had artificial turf installed in 2024.
In 1A, five-time defending state champion and top-seeded Royal will welcome No. 8 Seton Catholic to David Nielsen Memorial Field for a 1 p.m. Saturday contest. The Knights' field is artificial.
Second-seeded Cashmere will play at the nearby Apple Bowl in Wenatchee, entertaining No. 10 Life Christian at 2 p.m. Saturday.
