Wenatchee is headed back to the Class 4A state volleyball semifinals.
The fourth-seeded Panthers outlasted No. 5 Camas 25-19, 17-25, 25-20, 25-14 on Friday night to advance to the semifinals for the third straight year at the Yakima Valley SunDome.
Wenatchee guaranteed itself a third consecutive top-four trophy to go along with the third-place hardware the Panthers nabbed last year and the 2023 championship.
Top-seeded and defending champion Curtis awaits Wenatchee for a semifinal at 10 a.m. Saturday.
On another court, second-seeded Lake Stevens and reigning Washington Player of the Year Laura
Eichert rolled into the 4A semifinals without dropping a set, the only team that can boast that.
The Vikings opened the day by sweeping No. 15 Davis 25-17, 25-17, 25-18, and then dispatched 10th-seeded Issaquah 25-19, 25-19, 25-10.
Next up for Lake Stevens is No. 3 Gonzaga Prep, which downed 14th-seeded Mount Rainier in four sets before sweeping No. 11 Puyallup 25-18, 25-22, 25-19 to advance to the semis.
The Vikings and Bullpups met in the SunDome Volleyball Festival two months ago, and Gonzaga Prep won two of three sets.
It was a quick stay at the SunDome for Davis. After falling to the Vikings, the Pirates lost to Emerald Ridge 25-19, 26-28, 25-16, 25-23.
The Pirates looked on track to force a fifth set leading by as many as six points before the Jaguars rallied to close the match out.
The CBBN runners-up qualified in back-to-back years for the first time in nearly 40 years under fourth-year coach Steve Standley.
With just one senior on the roster, Davis figures to have a strong shot at making it three straight trips to state for the first time in program history next fall.
Cheyenne Hull totaled 15 kills and 25 digs for the day, Isa Garcia had 14 kills and 20 digs, and Joslyn Standley chipped in 26 assists and 26 digs.
