Zillah, Royal boys roll ahead of Friday rematch

Knights' Wardenaar has fourth 40-point game, and other Tuesday highlights

Royal junior Grant Wardenaar posted his fourth 40-point game of the season Tuesday, leading the fourth-ranked Knights to a 91-52 nonleague victory at Riverside in Chattaroy.


In SCAC action, Dekker Van De Graaf scored a game-high 21 points to lead No. 1 Zillah to a 93-57 home victory against Cashmere.


The Leopards travel to Royal on Friday in a matchup of the top two teams in the conference. Zillah rolled to an 80-60 victory in the first matchup between the teams.


Leopards all-SCAC forward Memphis led the defensive on Wardenaar, limiting the left-hander to 16 points.


In the crowded CWAC girls race, Grandview center Angel Torres had another 20-point game to lead the Greyhounds past Quincy, while Selah, Prosser and Ellensburg also won.
