SELAH - The third-ranked Selah boys basketball team locked up the CWAC conference championship Friday  night with an 85-65 victory against Othello.

Junior Oliver Pepper scored 31 points, and the Vikings improved to 14-0 in the CWAC and 17-2 overall. Selah hosts Prosser on Tuesday before heading to Ellensburg next Friday in search of a perfect conference record.

Four other teams -- Davis girls, West Valley boys and Zillah's team -- remained unbeaten on conference play Friday with impressive victories.

The Pirates boys squad won its third straight game with a 59-46 victory at Eastmont, ahead of hosting sixth-ranked West Valley, which pulled away from Moses Lake to improve to 8-0 in the CBBN.

Eisenhower's Lucas Stevens reached the 1,000-point mark for his career in a loss to Sunnyside, which has a game-and-a-hald lead over Davis and Moses Lake for second place in the CBBN,
