Bremerton's Davis repeats at 2A boys tournament MVP

Grandview senior Medina on first team after leading tourney in scoring

YAKIMA – Bremerton star junior Jalen Davis repeated as the Class 2A boys state tournament MVP after leading the Knights to their second championship in a row.


Davis averaged more than 26.2 points in Bremerton’s three games in the Yakima Valley SunDome, and pulled off the moment of the tournament, taking an inbound and racing the length of the court for a layup to beat Columbia River in the semifinal round.


Grandview’s Frankie Medina was runner-up in the MVP balloting, and also on the first team.


The Greyhounds senior led the tournament in points (105) and average (26.3)  in leading the CWAC district champions to a sixth-place finish at state.
