King's Anderson wins MVP again for state runner-up
Zillah juniors Fiander, Klitzke earn first-team honors for state champ Leopards

YAKIMA – King’s senior Kaleo Anderson repeated as the MVP of the Class 1A girls state basketball tournament in the Yakima Valley SunDome.
The Virginia Tech-bound standout averaged 19.3 points and 12.7 rebounds per game in leading the Knights to a runner-up finish for the second straight tournament.
Zillah’s June Fiander (16.3 points per game) and Makenna Klitzke (13.0 points per game, 7.0 rebounds per game) earned first-team honors after helping the Leopards win their first state championship.
Royal’s Lauren Wardenaar and Graycie Kast were second-team selections in the vote by the media after helping the Knights to third place in their first trip to state in 25 years.
