Ellensburg outslugs West Valley in fastpitch nonleaguer
Bulldogs score twice in 11th for walk-off win, Cashmere baseball rallies to stay unbeaten

ELLENSBURG – Ellensburg outlasted West Valley 16-15 in 11 innings, taking advantage of two errors to score a pair of runs for the walk-off victory in the nonleague matchup between conference contenders.
The game featured 33 hits – 18 for the Rams and f15 for the Bulldogs.
Emerson Morrill doubled and had three hits, and four RBI, Kylie Ailing tripled, doubled twice and had five hits, and Karsyn Green homered and drove in five runs for the Bulldogs (4-1).
Lauren Lewis had collected three hits, including a triple and a double, and knocked in five runs for West Valley (8-1).
Cashmere rallies to state unbeaten
CASHMERE – Ethan Bessonette took one for the team Tuesday, getting hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to give Cashmere a 6-5 victory against Royal, capping a SCAC sweep to remain unbeaten for the season.
The Bulldogs, ranked fourth in the VarsityWA top 10, scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh for the win.
Reigning conference Player of the Year Tom McDevitt had two hits and knocked in two runs, and Mac Carlson tripled and drove in a pair of runs.
Jacob Yousey collected three hits – including two doubles – and had three RBI in the opener, a 16-5 Cashmere (4-0 SCAC, 6-0 overall) victory.
