Mavericks, Wildcats still perfect in CBBN baseball, fastpitch
Moses Lake, Eastmont squads tied atop standings; Wapato soccer rolls on in SCAC

Eastmont and Moses Lake kept pace with each other atop the CBBN baseball (6-0) and fastpitch (4-0) standings Friday with dominating sweeps in CBBN action.
Eastmont baseball swept Davis 19-8 and 10-0 while the Wildcats fastpitch team took a pair from the Pirates, 23-0 and 21-0.
In the baseball doubleheader, Brody Larsen doubled twice and knocked in three runs in the opener, and Jack Swedburg pitched a four-hitter in the second contest, striking out 12 batters.
Madison Heinz doubled twice in the opener and drove in four runs, and Marissah Martinez had two hits, including a double, and pushed across four in the second game for the Wildcats softball squad.
STANDINGS: BASEBALL/FASTPITCH/BOYS SOCCER
The Mavericks baseball team handled Eisenhower 15-1 and 10-0, and the fastpitch team topped the Cadets 19-0 and 25-5.
Jacoby Fulbright doubled and knocked in two runs in the first game, while Maddox Herrud had three-run and two-run triples and totaled three hits and six RBI.
Reigning CBBN Offensive Player of the Year Hayden Morris smacked three home runs and had seven RBI in the sweep, and Caitlin Decubber totaled eight hits – including three doubles and two triples – and drove in four runs and scored five more.
West Valley also in undefeated in CBBN play in both sports, but has played three fewer baseball games, and one less fastpitch doubleheader.
Wapato soccer continues to roll
The Wapato boys soccer team remained unbeaten in SCAC play Friday with a 7-0 victory against Zillah.
The Wolves have outscored their conference opponents 29-3 in their six victories.
