Selah junior Chloe Myers is on pace for a state championship double this spring.

After winning the Class 2A discus title and placing this in the shot put a year ago, she’s top in the class in both events – by a good amount.

Myers’ discus mark of 135 feet, 11 inches (41.43 meters) leads Toppenish’s Isabella Camacho by more than 12 feet and nearly 4 meters.

In the shot, her toss of 42-8 is more than 5 feet farther than second place.

The CWAC tops the boys javelin as Levi Gough has the top mark at 174-8 and is fourth in the discus (162-2).

Grandview’s Kaiden Hall is third in the javelin (171-6).

CWAC competitors are 1-2 in the boys high jump with East Valley’s Dax Stecker (6-5) leading Ellensburg’s James Hall by an inch.

Toppenish’s Jack Davila is second in the long jump (22-4), and Hall is fourth (21-11.5).

On the girls side, Selah’s Katherine Mickelson is third in the 800 (2:17.44), while Ellensburg’s Grace Beachy is third (11:14.41) and teammate June Nemrow fifth (11:30.91) in the 3,200.

Mickelson also is part of the fourth-fastest 4X400 relay (4:20.19) with Evelyn Hernandez, Clare Richards and Charlene Schutz.
