Two CWAC top seeds clinched, while fastpitch is tied at top
Othello baseball, Toppenish soccer nab No. 1s, Selah catches East Valley with sweep

On the last big Tuesday of the spring, top seeds were earned in a couple CWAC sports.
Othello wrapped up the No. 1 berth to the CWAC district baseball tournament with a 4-2 victory against Selah. The Huskies (13-1 CWAC) can earn their first outright title since 2003 on Saturday when they visit Toppenish.
The Wildcats soccer team is the top seed in the district tournament after beating Selah 3-0, and Ellenburg topped East Valley 4-1 to leave the Wildcats, Bulldogs and Red Devils tied atop the CWAC at 6-2.

BASEBALL
Montes leads Huskies to victory
Aaden Montes hit a three-run home in the bottom of the fourth to back a strong pitching effort by Quade Gonzalez and Othello held off Selah.
In the CBBN, West Valley won its 35th straight regular season game and 16th conference in a row with an 11-3 victory against Moses Lake.
Colton Worley had three doubles and drove in three runs for the Rams.
Wenatchee shutout Davis 11-0, keyed by a nine-run bottom of the third inning with Owen Ervin hitting a two-run triple in the rally after homering in the first.
Cashmere and Zillah remained tied atop the SCAC with sweeps. Jacoby Yousey totaled five hits and three RBI for the Bulldogs, while Nathan Kibbe was 7-for-7 with seven RBI for the Leopards, who totaled 58 runs in sweeping Wapato.
SOFTBALL
Selah sweeps to tie EV
Aspin Grubenhoff had two home runs and seven RBI to lead Selah to a sweep of Quincy,
Avery Brewer also homered for the Vikings, who moved into a first-place tie with East Valley, which was idle Tuesday, at 13-1 in conference play.
SOCCER
Davis wins again
First-place Davis won its seventh straight conference game, beating Eastmont 2-1.
The Pirates (8-1 in conference) have games against Sunnyside and West Valley left in the regular season.
In the SCAC, Connell defeated Wapato 4-2 to tighten the standings.
