Eastmont and West Valley squared off for the CBBN district fastpitch championshipThursday at West Valley.


Wildcats senior Jace Burkhart slowed the powerful Rams lineup, and Eastmont got just enough offense against West Valley ace Ainsley Johnson for a 3-2 victory and their fifth straight berth in the Class 4A state tournament May 22-23 in Richland.


The Rams will host Moses Lake on Saturday for the CBBN's second berth to state.
