TACOMA – The Eastmont pole vaulter and University of Washington-bound senior Kayden Andre-Van Lith flew high Saturday at the Class 4A track and field meet at Mount Tahoma High School/

Andre-Van Lith cleared 15 feet, 6 inches to match his season best and repeat his second-place finish.

He was one of a few runner-up finishes on the final day of competition.

West Valley freshman Allie Orcutt capped a stellar debut season by taking second place in the 800.

Wenatchee’s Sophia Paslay was third in the discus, and the Moses Lake boys 4x100 relay and Wenatchee 4x400 teams earned the same medal.

Rams siblings Elizabeth and Sam French both reached the podium in the discus by finishing fifth and sixth, respectively.

In the 2A meet, East Valley’s Preston Bates added a second-place finish in 300-meter hurdles to go with the title he won Friday in the 110 hurdles.

Selah junior Chloe Myers was fifth in the shot put after winning the discus Thursday.

Ellensburg’s boys finished fifth in the teams standings, a spot ahead of East Valley.
