The magical year for Eastmont senior Aaron Leon will include the CBBN’s Offensive Player of the Year honor after voting from the conference coaches.

Leon, who broke the school’s single-season scoring record with his 28th goal, finished the season with 46 goals, 12 of them coming in the Class 4A state tournament, which the Wildcats won last weekend.

Eastmont captured its first state soccer championship with Leon netting a hat trick in three of the four games.

Aiden Munoz won the Defensive Player of the Year in helping Davis to the CBBN regular-season title and district championship.

In the SCAC, Wahluke junior Icker Lopez repeated as Player of the Year, netting 26 goals and dishing out 29 assists for the Warriors, who advanced to the state semifinals for the 10th time and finished fourth.

Two of three teams which tied atop the CWAC had a player earn MVP honors in the conference.

Toppenish senior Kristian Iniguez Mejia, Toppenish won the Offensive MVP, while East Valley sophomore Eli Montez shared the Defensive MVP with Quincy senior Jesus Armando Carrillo.
