The Class 2A track and field season wrapped up with the state meet May 28-30 at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.

East Valley senior Preston won the 110-meter hurdles in 14.47 seconds, and posted a personal best 38.86 to place second in the 300 hurdles.

Selah’s Chloe Myers capped her junior season with a PR throw of 145 feet and 11 inches to repeat as the discus champion, and also place fifth in the shot put.

In the boys meet, Ellensburg’s James Hall was second in the high jump, while Dax Stecker was third. Other third-place finishers were Ellensburg’s Carlos Patino (shot put) and Prosser’s Gavin Case (discus).
