West Valley junior-to-be Austin Birley continues to pick up college offers, with Washington and Washington State being the latest.

The Huskies offered Monday morning while the Cougars followed suit Wednesday.

UW and WSU sandwiched St. Louis asking the 6-foot-5 guard to join its program Monday afternoon.

Colorado State, where Birley’s parents both played, were the first Division I school to offer in October, with Seattle U following later in the month.

Prephoops.com ranks Birley as the third best player in the class of 2028, behind only Davion Shareef-Dulaney of Tacoma’s Lincoln, Quentin Mosby of Lakeside in Seattle. Those two also were offered by Washington on Monday.

Birley is coming off a huge weekend at the prestigious Section 7 tournament in Mesa, Ariz., averaging 26.5 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists in the team's four games which they split.

Teammates Jett Bremerman and Jrayden Whitfield averaged 15.7 and 13.3 points per game, respectively.

Next up is the WIBCA Showcase on June 26-28 in Bellevue.

Yakima won the spring tournament with a team that included SCAC MVP Grant Wardenaar of Royal, CBBN leading scorer Aiden Sanchez of Sunnyside, Eisenhower graduate Lucas Stevens and Birley.

The team was coached by former West Valley coach Jon Kinloch.
