Members of SCAC rivals Zillah and Royal will team up with a few of the CWAC’s best Saturday at the 29th annual Washington Girls Basketball All-State event at the Hub Sports Center at Liberty Lake east of Spokane.

Conference MVP Makenna Klitzke, who will be a senior in the fall, and first-team selection and junior-to-be Bella Valadez, who helped the Leopards win their first Class 1A state championship in early March, will be joined by Royal first-teamer Graycie Kast, who helped the Knights to a third-place finish.

Central Washington commit Bella Standish, who climbed to second on Ellensburg's all-time scoring list as a junior this past season, and Bulldogs teammate and graduate Molly Moffat, along with standout Grandview guard Leyla Rodriguez, will join the SCAC standout to take on a 2A/1A team from Western Washington.

The team will be coached by WSGBCA 1A Coach of the Year Joel Yellow Owl. The Zillah coach guided the Leopards to the state championship after he took the reins of the program following the passing of Brandie Valadez.

In the 4A/3A game, Eastmont’s Giselle Hoven, an all-CBBN first-teamer as sophomore in the winter, will be part of an East squad that includes a pair of players from Post Falls, Idaho.

The 4A/3A game will open things going at 1 p.m., with 2A/1A to follow at 3. The 2B/1B will wrap things up at 5.
