West Valley graduate Colby Graham helped Yakima Valley win the opener of its league doubleheader Thursday at Tri-City, while also picking up an all-state honor.

Graham hit a three-run double in an eight-run seventh inning as the Pak defeated the Titans 9-2 in the first game. Tri-City bounced back with a 6-3 victory in the night cap.

The CBBN MVP singled to start the seventh, and Yakima Valley sent 13 batters to the plate.

Grady Jansen had two hits and an RBI, and Alex Morales and Easton Armstrong each knocked in a run with a single.

Bodie Yale had three hits and an RBI in the second game for the Pak. Jake Jansen added two hits, one of them a double, Morales doubled and Brody Roinestad singles in a run.

Yakima Valley hosts King County-based Mudville Baseball in Saturday and Sunday doubleheaders at Archer Field.

Earlier Thursday, Graham was named a first-team infielder on the Prep Baseball Report’s Class 4A/3A all-state team. His Rams teammate and two-time CBBN Pitcher of the Year Rhyse Elder, who will be a senior in the fall, was a second-team selection.

The Class 2A/1A/2B/1B team included Othello senior-to-be and CWAC MVP Xzyyvn Martinez as a two-way player, while Huskies teammates and 2026 graduated Quade Gonzalez and Aiden Garza were selected as an infielder and pitcher, respectively.

Martinez also was selected to the VarsityWA all-classification team.

Ellensburg’s Carter Peone, who will be a junior, also was selected to the team.

Quinton Allen-Greggs had an RBI double and Andrew Roy also doubled for the Beetles (2-4).

The tournament continues Friday with round-robin play.
