Yakima Valley rode a combined two-hitter and then manufactured a pair of runs in its final at-bat to win a pair of games Saturday at the Brandy Pugh Memorial Tournament at Bannerwood Sports Park in Bellevue.

Elsewhere, Yakima won its fourth straight game in the Firecracker Tournament at Parker Faller Field.

The Pak opened the day with a 2-0 victory against the NW Star Mavericks, with West Valley teammates Alex Morales and Brody Roinestad shutting down the Southwest Washington and Portland-area team.

Colby Graham had two hits and Morales knocked in a run for the Pak.

Yakima Valley scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to beat Mercer Island-based Mudville Baseball.

Trailing 3-0 after an inning and a half, the Pak scored one run in the bottom of the second and tied the score with a pair of runs in the third.

Mudville regained the lead in the top of the sixth, before Yakima Valley rallied in the seventh.

The Pak loaded the base with a pair of hits sandwiching a hit batter.

Graham’s sacrifice fly scored Grady Jansen, and Jake Jansen came across on an error on Morales’ grounder.

Christian Keller had two hits and a run and Corbin Goodlake tripled for Yakima Valley (20-9), which plays Bellevue-based Boys of Summer at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Beetles remain unbeaten at Firecracker

Yakima hammered the Kelly Brady Bagpipers to improve to 4-0 in the Firecracker Tournament at Parker Faller Field.

Braden Albrecht had two hits – one an RBI double – and knocked in two runs and scored two more. Blake Gibbons’ triple in a run and finished with two hits and a pair of RBI for the Beetles, who had nine hits and were aided by four Bagpiper errors.

Andrew Serl had two RBI and Caleb Rutherford scored three runs and drove in another for Yakima (14-17), which finishes the tournament Sunday.
