VarsityWA’s Todd Milles, the dean of prep sports reporters in Washington state, has started his positional rankings in run up for the 2026 season.

The offensive rankings were wrapped up with the unveiling of VarsityWA’s top 20 linemen.

Six-time defending state champion Royal already has placed two players in the rankings, with senior quarterback Grant Wardenaar ranked seventh and backfield mate and fellow 12th-grader Dax Jenks the No. 7 running back.

In the wide receiver rankings, Prosser junior Brody Buxton also drew the seventh spot.

While no other CBBN, CWAC or SCAC players were ranked, the nearby Mid-Columbia Conference was well-represented.

Richland three-sport standout senior Jackson Woodward checks in at No. 8 in the quarterback ranking, while Southridge’s Tayton Jackman sneaks in as the 20th running back.

Kamiakin senior Mason Severson is No. 4 in the wide receiver rankings.

Southridge’s Paz Barraza and Mayes Mayovsky, both seniors, are No. 11 and 15, respectively, among the offensive linemen.
