After wrapping up his optional rankings, VarsityWA’s Todd Milles, the dean of prep sports reporters in Washington state, has moved on to rankings by class.

The defensive rankings – linemen, linebackers and defensive backs – were followed by multi-positional players.

While no area freshman cracked the top 20, there was representation in the remaining classes.

Cashmere’s Jayce McMahon comes in at No. 17. McMahon led a balanced rushing attack last season with 331 yards and five touchdowns.

From the Mid-Columbia Conference, Southridge’s Toa Hartling is seventh, while Chiawana receiver Jagger McEwen is honorable mention.

After big 10th-grade campaigns in 2025, Prosser receiver Brody Buxton and Moses Lake linebacker John Rainiey come in 13th and 17th, respectively, in the junior rankings.

Chiawana defensive back Cooper Cissne is ninth in the rankings.

Among the seniors, Kamiakin receiver Mason Severson is 17th, while teammate Michael Kori is an honorable mention.
