SELAH – Selah football christened the new turf at Karl Graf Stadium on Friday night with its second straight dominating performance to start the season, beating Quincy 47-0 in CWAC action.

Vikings senior running back Calen Wuitschick continued his hot start to the season, rushing for 98 yards and three touchdowns on just eight carries.

Junior  quarterback Jerrid Scribner delivered another strong performance, completing 7 of 9 passes for 117 yards and three touchdowns, including two to senior Clayton Bucknell.

Selah (2-0) heads to Othello next Friday to continue conference action. The Huskies (1-1) fell at Prosser, 28-8, on Thursday night.

EAST VALLEY 18, EPHRATA 14: At Yakima, the Red Devils improved to 2-0 with their ninth straight victory at Earl Barden Stadium.

Sophomore quarterback Liam Peterson threw for 146 yards and had touchdown passes to Joshua Walruff and Banyon Dunn.

Zayden Wade added 120 rushing yards on 21 carries for East Valley (2-0 overall, 1-0 conference), which travels to Toppenish next Friday.

THURSDAY’S RESULTS: Grandview 14, Ellensburg 12; Prosser 28, Othello 8.

ZILLAH 40, CONNELL 11: At Connell, Maverick Myers rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries, and Brayden Russell added 107 yards on four carries as the Leopards racked up more than 500 yards of offense to improve to 2-0 this season. Beau Donahoe passed for 143 yards and two scores.

Zillah will host College Place next Friday.

COLLEGE PLACE 27, WAPATO 26: At College Pace, Brandon Fry and Jace Piefer connected for more than 250 yards and three touchdowns, and a defense led by James Fry and Haden Hafen helped the Hawks (1-1) hold off the Wolves.

Buddy Lopez rushed for 149 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 23 carries for Wapato (1-1).

KIONA-BENTON 14, WAHLUKE 13: At Mattawa, Hayden Flores returned a kickoff for a touchdown and had a 10-yard scoring scramble to put the Bears ahead, and they on for a  road win to even their record this season (1-1).

Ki-Be hosts Connell next Friday while Wahluke heads to Naches Valley.

NACHES VALLEY 36, HIGHLAND 0: At Naches, Atlans Gentry rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown on just four carries and Marceil Robert had 133 yards and a score on 14 carries, and the Rangers beat their neighbor up the hill in nonleague action to even their record for the season at 1-1. Naches Valley hosts Connell next week.

ROYAL 28, CASHMERE 17: At Royal City, the six-time defending Class 1A state champions shook off a slow first half to win their 50thstraight game. Stat Hound’s Jerrel Swenning was there.
