YAKIMA -- Cashmere repeated as the small-school champions Friday night at the SunDome Volleyball Festival.

The Bulldogs, third place at last year’s Class 1A state tournament in the SunDome, defeated 2025 1A state runner-up Meridian 25-14, 25-13 in the championship match of the No. 1 seeds.

Both teams swept through pool play.

Zillah, Cashmere’s rival in the SCAC, defeated Annie Wright in straight sets to win the No. 2 seeds bracket. The Leopards were 5-1 in pool play.

The large schools will take to the SunDome floor Saturday for their 32-team tournament.
