Selah played its first game on the new artificial turf at Karl Graf Field, putting up a 47-0 CWAC victory against Quincy, and was rewarded by the No. 10 spot in Monday’s Week 3 Class 2A top 10.

The Vikings (2-0) will face a stiff road test Thursday when they head to Othello to face the 1-1 Huskies.

At halftime Thursday, Othello led Prosser 8-7 at Art Fiker Stadium, before Autry Hoefer ran for three touchdowns to lift the Mustangs to a 28-8 victory.

Prosser remained fourth in the 2A poll.

Chiawana won at Mead on Friday, and inched up one spot to No. 6 in the 4A rankings. That spot last week was held by Moses Lake, which fell to ninth after losing to Coeur d’Alene.

Six-time defending state champion Royal remained No. 1 in 1A after pulling away for a 28-17 victory Friday night against Cashmere in SCAC action. The Bulldogs remained third, while Zillah again checked in at No. 6.
