Richland’s first win of the season at the expense of previously unbeaten Kennewick shook up the Stat Hound Power Rankings.
Southridge followed its win against Chiawana by handling Kamiakin, and jumped up to No. 3 behind second-ranked Eastmont, which topped the Suns in the second week of the season.
Here’s how the top 12 in the Stat Hound footprint stack up:
1. Royal
Last week: 1. Record: 4-0.
After shutting out Zillah in a matchup of to-five teams, the juggernaut heads to Kiona-Benton where a win would give the Knights 53 straight, matching the program’s longest streak.
2. Eastmont
Last week: 3. Record: 4-0.
Rory Rosenbach’s transformation of the Wildcats offense continued with a lopsided victory against Post Falls in their final nonconference game.
3. Southridge
Last week: 5. Record: 3-1.
The Suns beat Kamiakin last week, giving them back-to-back victories against 2025 state-qualifiers with a trip to 3-1 Hermiston on tap Friday night.
4. Prosser
Last week: 4. Record: 4-0.
A trip to Everett produced a lopsided victory against Mariner in the nonleague finale for the Mustangs, who host Toppenish for Homecoming on Friday.
5. Kennewick
Last week: 2. Record: 3-1.
The Lions suffered their first loss of the season when Richland broke a scoreless tie with 21 points in the fourth quarter, and how it’s on the road for undefeated Sageview.
6. Chiawana
Last week: 6. Record: 3-1.
A bounce-back victory for the Riverhawks against Walla Walla keeps the conference favorite in the middle of the race with Hanford next.
7. Moses Lake
Last week: 8. Record: 3-1.
The Mavericks handed Wenatche their first loss of the season with running back Elijah Burns rushing to a school-record 309 yards and four touchdowns.
8. Cashmere
Last week: 9. Record: 3-1.
Just 10 offensive plays is plenty when you score six touchdowns through defense and special teams, including three by Ethan Bessonette.
9. Sageview
Last week: 11. Record: 3-0.
Another week, another big outing from the Lobos, who keep passing milestones in their second year. This week’s matchup with Kennewick will factor greatly into 3A positioning.
10. Selah
Last week: 10. Record: 4-0.
Calen Wuitschick already has 15 touchdowns this season for the Vikings, who get their toughest test yet when eighth-ranked West Valley of Spokane visits.
11. Kamiakin
Last week: 7. Record: 2-2.
The Braves have dropped two straight, and welcome Walla Walla to Lampson Stadium with the winner staying alive in the postseason chase and the loser falling further back.
12. East Valley
Last week: Tied for 12. Record: 4-0.
A reloading for the defending CWAC champions has gone smoothly so far, with a backloaded schedule a couple weeks from getting really tough.
