Ellensburg inched up a spon in this week's Washington State Volleyball Coaches Association poll released Wednesday.

The Bulldogs, who were the runners-up in last year's state tournament, is up to No. 3 in the Class 2A top 10. 

Wenatchee (4A) and Cashmere (1A) remained fourth in their respective classifications. THe Bulldogs lost their first match of the season – a 3-0 decision against three-time defending 1A champion Chelan.

Although a sweep, all three sets were close.

Selah and Prosser are No. 7 and 10, respectively, giving the CWAC three teams in poll.

Zillah joined SCAC rival Cashmere in the 1A poll, coming in at ninth.
