Moses Lake record-setting quarterback Brady Jay and a pair of versatile playmakers from the area were named Wednesday to The (Tacoma) News Tribune all-classifications all-state football team.

Jay, who has signed to play at Montana, threw 72 touchdown passes this season to lead the Mavericks to the Class 4A state quarterfinals for the first time since 2015.

The two-time CBBN MVP finished with 4,207 passing yards and his TD total eclipsed the Washington state record, surpassing Prosser’s Kellen Moore, who threw 67 in 2006.

East Valley’s Greyson Stevens and Royal’s Shea Stevenson also made the team.

Stevens was selected as a receiver. The Montana State-bound standout finished the season with 1,297 yards and 21 touchdowns receiving.

The Red Devils won their first 12 games, winning their first CWAC championship and advanced to the Class 2A state semifinals for the first time since 2004.

He also returned two interceptions for touchdowns.

Royal’s Shea Stevenson, the SCAC Offensive MVP, made the team as a defensive back. Stevenson helped the Knights to their sixth straight 1A state championship Dec. 5 with a 21-20 victory against SCAC rival Cashmere at Husky Stadium.

Royal’s defense posted six shutouts and held nine opponents to seven points or less.

Former Davis running back Lance McGee was named the Player of the Year after leading Sumner to its second 4A state title in a row.

McGee rushed for 313 yards and five touchdowns in a semifinal victory against No. 1 Puyallup, and followed that with 368 yards and six touchdowns on 46 carries in the championship game against second-seeded Lake Stevens.
